Unusual sight for very-urban section of Shaker Heights: 3:30 this afternoon, a beautiful if bedraggled Bald Eagle flying directly north (toward Shaker Lakes??) as I came out of the Heinen's at Van Aken and Lee Rd.; it was perhaps only 20' above the store. I was pointing and saying, "Bald Eagle!" and one young thing looked as though I'd announced a Martian invasion. Others were psyched. Am just glad I'd felt compelled to get some brownies at that particular moment -- :)
