           Blendon Woods Metro Park is located in the northeast corner of
Columbus off of I 270 & Rte 161. Take the Little Turtle Way exit. Below is
a list of some of the Birds seen today at Blendon Woods Metro Park

           Thoreau Lake
                 Common Merganser-6 males
                 Green-winged Teal-2 males,female
                 American Wigeon-male
                 Greater Scaulp-female
                 Canvasback-female
                 A Black Duck-306
                 Mallard-102

         Lake Trail
                 Red-headed Woodpecker-young-going into Adult plummage
                 Pileated Woodpecker-pair

         Nature Center Bird Viewing area
                 Carolina Wren
                 American Tree Sparrows
                 White-throated Sparrows
                 Dark-eyed Juncos
                 Hairy Woodpecker-female
                 Pileated Woodpecker
                 N Flicker

       Turkeys-Male & Female/young flocks-together over 50. They can be
seen at the Nature Bird Viewing area, East Blind Bird feeder at Thoreau
Lake, & Bird Feeders in the picnic areas
