There was a pair of swans resting on the ice among several hundred Canada geese this morning. I waited two hours for them to pop their heads up so I could get an ID they did only for about 30 seconds to readjust position. I got a quick look through my scope and snapped a few quick photos but then had to leave to pick up my son from pre-school. My initial ID was Trumpeter but after reviewing my photos I have some doubts if anyone wants to see them they were easily viewed from the Cheshire rd boat launch or nearby Mountain bike parking lot. And if you happen to get a positive ID and could let me know that would be awesome. I may try and get back over there this afternoon myself.

Good luck,
Rob Batterson
