I stopped by the frozen pond on E River Rd in Dayton for a few mins after work today and was graced with the presence of an an adult Iceland gull with almost pure white primaries and a dark eye. Gorgeous bird!!! If you haven't had the chance to check E river rd out I suggest you do. Its amazing how many gulls have made our dump in Dayton home this winter. The best time to cruise e river rd is Mon- Fri. The dump is closed on the weekend so the gulls tend to wander since theres not an endless supply of garbage being brought in. You literally never know what you may find.
Bird On!!!
