I found an Eared Grebe just before 5 pm at Buck Creek on the West side of the lake. There is an access lot on route 4 just north of the route 334 interchange. Parking there and taking a short walk down the old roadbed to the lake gets you to the spot. The grebe is the closest bird ~ 50 yards off shore looking toward the first buoy. The lake is packed with waterfowl this evening. Many arrived today, because the lake was mostly empty this morning.
