Been hearing a singing winter wren here this morning after a hard
winter, worth cracking a window for. I usually enjoy that looooong sweet
jagged song from migrants this time of year, mostly because my urban lot
is dominated by low-maintenance dark damp hidey-holes of yews and
hemlocks, rhododendrons and ivy. Unsurprisingly, today is right on
schedule for migrants, and long may they prosper...
