Encouraged by Inga Schmidt's posting of a SEO a couple days ago, I went to
Frohring Meadows just before dark tonight (arrived 7:45pm) and almost
immediately saw this bird flying over the original wetland (to the right of
the shelter building). It landed on Post B and I was able to get a picture
using my tripod and 2 second timer. Understand that light was minimal so
the quality is not great. https://www.flickr.com/photos/85567104@N05/

If you want to see this bird you have to arrive at first light in the
morning or around 7:30pm and scan the meadows in all directions from the
picnic shelter. GOING OUT INTO THE MEADOW WILL LIMIT YOUR VIEWING OPTIONS
AND POSSIBLY MAKE THE BIRD SHY AWAY FROM THE MEADOW. Many birders came to
see the SEO that visited for several days in early December. If we get
similar numbers and they venture into the meadow the bird will certainly shy
away and no one will get to see it.

Let's hope it stays a few days with the weekend coming.

One Woodcock was heard 'peenting' and I could hear its descending flight
sounds.
