Karin Tanquist and I had another good morning of waterfowling along Portage Lakes yesterday. The big flock of ducks that has been there all week has moved from the Tuscawaras River at Cove Blvd boat ramp to a slit of open water along the shore of Long Lake. Most all of the Portage Lakes are still completely ice-covered. Birds were seen on Long Lake from Portage Lakes Drive standing on the public sidewalk a couple hundred yards northwest of the inlet to Long Lake from North Reservoir. Scope is necessary from this spot. Full list follows.
