I was able to find some open water at the ends of these two nearby reservoirs today.  Waterfowl numbers were pretty low, but variety was good.  Pine L. highlights were: gadwalls, Am. black ducks, a mallard X Am. black duck hybrid, blue-winged teal, green-winged teal, n. shovelers, redheads, ring-necked ducks, lesser scaup, buffleheads, hooded mergansers, red-breasted mergansers, ruddy duck, pied-billed grebe, great blue herons, bald eagle (at nest), killdeer, 275 ring-billed gulls, and herring gulls.  Evans L. had 10 tundra swans, lesser scaup, red-breasted mergansers, Am. coot, ring-billed gulls, and herring gull.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
