I spent the cold clear morning visiting spots along the Scioto River in urban Columbus, starting at Haul Rd, going north through Hart Rd, Berliner Park, Scioto Audubon Park, Confluence Park, Watermark Lake, and the Marble Cliff bikepath. Small groups of migrant waterfowl were in many places, but the only widespread landbird migrants were Tree Swallows. Notables included:

Mute Swans - at least 3 were in the quarry along Hart Rd.
Redheads - small numbers were at many locations
Lesser Scaup - small numbers were at many locations
Great Scaup - one male was on Watermark Lake, the only duck there
Ring-necked Ducks - 4 were at the Hart Rd Quarry, another 4 were at Scioto Audubon, and 65 were at Marble Cliff
Bufflehead - 4 were at the Haul Rd ponds
Red-br.Merganser - at least 1 was at Scioto Audubon, in the bay off the boat launch
CommonMergansers - 2-3 were in the river both at Berliner and Scioto Audubon
HoodedMergansers - small numbers were at most stops
Pied-billedGrebes - singles were at Haul Rd and Marble Cliff
HornedGrebe - 2 were at the Hart Rd quarry, while 1 was at Scioto Audubon
Cormorants - 10 were at Haul Rd, while another 12 were at Scioto Audubon
AmerCoots - a small flock of 8 was still on Watermark Lake
Red-belliedWoodpeckers - unusually common along river, with 8 along the Scioto Audubon & Berliner bikepaths (usually 2)
E.Phoebe - 2 were calling around the bridges at Confluence Park
Tree Swallows - small groups were foraging over the water at many locations
BrownCreepers - the only ones were 2 along the bikepath at Berliner Park
