I stopped at several spots around the northern & southern ends of Hoover today, and bumped into many of the highlights mentioned by folks earlier in the day, but the waterfowl are definitely moving around. I couldn't find any Long-tailed Ducks. Included among what I did find were:

Red-thr.Loons - I could only find 3 from the Walnut St. boat launch
CommonLoons - small numbers at most stops, but 8 were off the Walnut St launch
Wood Ducks - a flock of 15+ were lurking in the flooded swamp at Area N
Redheads - a flock of 20+ was floating off the Baldridge Boat launch (Sunbury Rd causeway)
Lesser Scaup - a flock of 80 was off the Sunbury causeway, with smaller #s elsewhere
Bufflehead - the only ones were 10 off the dam
Common Mergansers - still some around, with 12 off Wiese rd the high #
Red-br.Mergansers - big movement, with over 240+ in 1.5 hours, with big flocks off Sunbury causeway & County Line bridge
Horned Grebes - small #s at many locations
Osprey - 1 was calling around the bay at Galena
