Hoover Reservoir, Area M and N, from the old roadbed south of Galena, Delaware county.

Two Osprey on platform 2. One of the two flew off the nest, picked up a branch out of the water and returned to add it to the already considerable nest. One other Osprey was perched near platform 1.

An immature Bald Eagle swooped over the water and caught a small fish while being harassed by gulls. It was later seen almost hovering into the wind eating the fish out of its talons. Two other immature Bald Eagles were playing keep away with a stick. Also 1 mature Bald Eagle.

Would have had a better view from the Hoover Mudflats boardwalk, but it is closed due to ice damage.

Tom
