This is a tad late, but twice in the last week I have seen a red-headed woodpecker in the woods on Hospice Way in Westlake, Ohio, Cuyahoga County. Hospice Way is west off Crocker Road is just north of Clemens Road, which just north of I-90. Once I saw it in the woods to the north of Hospice Way, and once flying across the drive that turns right off Hospice Way towards the Ames Family Hospice of Hospice of the Western Reserve. This was a bright spot on a rather sad road. In addition, the hospice seems to have been built in a wetland- it is nice that some habitat survives in a rapidly developing area. I am told this property formerly belonged to Bonne-Bell cosmetics company which has merged with another company. Kathleen Bradley
