I had a group of 300 Brown-headed cowbirds, Grackles, Red-winged
blackbirds, and Rusty blackbirds today in my yard and the surrounding woods
and field. With the fly-by Crows, it was blackbirds a plenty in rural
Wyandot County today. It made for great blackbird study for my kids. It was
a perfect mix of males, females and the four species at close range.
