I'm doing a redo of my previous post on Russell's Point birds. So I looked
at Russell's points lake view and had:
Osprey: 3
My grandma named a Osprey that likes to perch in some trees on a island
across the road, named it Oscar, and we hope he/she finds a mate this year
and builds a nest there too.
Red BreastedMerganser: 1 Female flew in while I watched the osprey all day.
Ruddy Duck: 18 a small flock swam around the Ospreys island.
Pied Billed Grebe: 2 swam with Ruddies.
Tree Swallows: 30+ many flew around the lake, many also flew around the
trees by Oscar :)
Then I visited a marsh/swamp area off highway 33 on 94. Highlights included:
GreatBlueHeron: 3
Gadwall: 5
Green Teal: 6
Shovlers: 20+
Am. Wigeon: 5
Mallard: 5
Tree Swallow: 5
My grandma also reports that she's been seeing some Wood Ducks across the
donut shop in Russell's Point, just sitting on the docks.
