I think it's very insensitive to call people "humorless" over something like
this. What if someone is a beginning birder, not very familiar with these
"traditions" or with what birds are likely or not, and they make the trip
halfway across the state for something that isn't real? There's nothing
wrong with a little joking, but intentions can be lost in translation and I
think it's very small-minded to think people are "humorless" just because
they don't want others to be fooled by a fake posting.
