Come out this Spring and discover bird life in southeast Ohio! With experienced guides, we explore special areas and habitats to find and learn about their avian inhabitants.

Wildcat Hollow
Time: 7:00 am - 9:00 am or longer
Location: Wildcat Hollow parking lot, County Road 58, north of Burr Oak Lake (Morgan County)
The bird walk starts promptly at 7 AM. Duration can be 2 hours or longer if there is a good wave of migrants descending upon us. Weather that would cancel would be hard rain or lightning/thunder. Please be aware that turkey hunting could occur - wear brightly colored clothes. In the event turkey hunting prevents us from entering the forest too far, there is plenty of good birding around the trail head area, roads, and alternate locations around Burr Oak Lake. Guide: Glen Crippen, joined by Joe Brehm (Rural Action)

Free but limited to 15 participants. Bring your binoculars or borrow from us (provided by Rural Action). For questions and to register, email [log in to unmask] with the subject “Bird Walk”; a confirmation will be sent back to you. This event is part of a series of bird walks offered by the Athens Area Birders.
