There was a modest movement of birds today. There were quite a few horned
grebes on the lake with 68 being counted. Of note was a single breeding
plumaged eared grebe. The grebes were found between 7:00 and about 8:00.
When the winds changed and the waves picked up they became hard to find.
Horned grebes are small birds and they are easily missed when there are
waves.
