Pickerington Ponds Metro Parks (Columbus Area) typically has nesting barn owls in one of their barns on one of the caretakers property.  They usually even have a an area designated for people to gather at an unobtrusive place to observe the owls.  We got tremendous views of them sitting in the upper opening of the barn last year!

I'd like to know the best place to find Barn Owls in Ohio. As our population is on the decrease, I've tired to make a Barn Owl Friendly property, but no luck. I know some lucks farmers somewhere in Ohio have them, but I don't want to go to some strangers property & inside his " barn ". I'd much rather go to a preserve. But I feel like Barn Owls aren't as, "
free " birds. As seeing one in a barn is and might be the only way to find one here any more. So where is ohios Barn owl hotspot??
