Tim Jasinski, Mo Bacik and I did a hawk count at Edgewater from 11:30 am - 3 pm. Winds weren't preferable-- WSW shifting to WNW, but temps pumped to 50 and full sun helped the push. Flight West to east. TWO adult GOLDEN EAGLES were absolutely stunning, and perhaps the first GOEA for Edgewater count in 15 years. Osprey-1. Bald Eagle-2 (non migrants). Red-tailed Hawk- 13. Rough-legged Hawk-1. Merlin-2. American Kestrel-3. Sharp-shinned Hawk-4. Turkey Vulture-140.
