The Eared Grebe was in the northeast corner staying quite close to the
rocky edge of the reservoir when I arrived at about 04:10 pm. The bird is
quite accomodating and is changing into breeding plumage with a black neck
and some yellow ears on the face but appears to be not fully there yet with
some white remaining on the face. At least that is what it appeared to
me. Nice bird!
