The ice is on the move from South Bass Island and ferries will begin running tomorrow!

There is a large movement of waterfowl out on the lake (red-breasted mergansers, common goldeneyes) and the arrival over the weekend of great blue heron, belted kingfisher, and wood ducks in Terwilliger's Pond.

We have many turkey vultures making their way through and found one tree on the island with 28 roosting this morning.
