Ohio birders have added several new shared bird reporting hotspots to
eBird.
http://ohioebirdhotspots.wikispaces.com/Birding+in+Ohio

Several years ago, when I volunteered to review eBird hotspot suggestions
for Ohio, there were about 1200 locations identified. I remember thinking,
"We probably have almost all of the birding locations already in eBird.
There shouldn't be much to do." As of today we have 2081 hotspots in Ohio
and the list seems to be growing almost daily as eBirders suggest places
close to home which they are visiting.

I have noticed that, almost anywhere in Ohio, one or two birders visiting a
location regularly (once a month is enough, once a week is even better) can
fairly quickly identify at least 100 species. The eBird hotspots with
smaller numbers of species reported mostly don't have many checklists
submitted yet. Eventually, as more checklists are submitted, we will have
Ohio well mapped for bird diversity. It would be great if eBirders would
commit to filling in the bar charts for nearby locations.
