The number of Pine Siskins in our backyard kept increasing last week until we reached a total of 16 on Friday the 1st. The next day they were all gone. None the next 3 days. Suddenly today we have 23 at our feeders, new ones we assume. Also, male and female Rose-breasted Grosbeaks made an appearance yesterday. Female hanging around; haven't seen the male today. White-crowned and Chipping, as well as the usual White-throated Sparrows.
Heading to Magee Marsh Thursday AM. Save some warblers for us.
