At Huffman MetroPark near WPAFB in Montgomery County this morning, 8:30 AM - 11:15 AM Walked along the lake from the shelter parking lot to the parking lot at the other end of the lake and back.

FOY  indigo buntings and Baltimore orioles - lots of bothRobins, goldfinch, lots of blue-gray gnatcatchers, 1 great-blue heron flying over, mourning dove, blue jays, cowbirds, 1 Swainson's thrush on the paved path ahead of us, red-bellied woodpeckers, 1 pileated woodpecker, mallards, a few yellow-rumped warblers, 1 white-breasted nuthatch, Canada geese (a few), red-winged blackbirds, 1 great-crested flycatcher, a couple of soaring turkey vultures.
Seen but not positively identified: a bird in a sycamore that was probably a vireo, but could have been a warbler - totally grayish or buff breast and no other distinguishable markers seen. Eating something with enthusiasm, but not vocalizing. What was vocalizing in the same sycamore was what I think was a northern parula. I'm not good at sound birding, but I have heard the parulas sev. times this spring and it was high up in the sycamore, a perfect parula place. Also while there was almost no bird activity on the lake - a few mallards, one goose, I walked up to a spot where I could see the river and saw 1 swallow that flitted by to a place where foliage obscured it before I could get a good id.
Also heard (there are some birds I can identify by sound): Carolina wrens, titmice, a northern cardinal
