This morning I took a walk along the Coyote Run Trail prior to my volunteer shift in the Nature Center. Activity was moderate but produced several decent birds. The highlights were a Mourning Warbler and a Canada Warbler. Other warblers included Tennessee, Common Yellowthroat, American Redstart, Northern Parula, Yellow, Chestnut-sided and a Yellow-breasted Chat. Not a Yellow-rumped Warbler in sight.
Flycatchers included Eastern Wood Pewee, Acadian, Willow, Least, Eastern Phoebe and Great Crested Flycatcher.
Many Scarlet and Summer Tanagers.
