Laura, 
All the birds we see, aren't Ohioans birds. They are everyone's. Nature should be shared, with everyone, as much as possible. If you keep it to yourself, or only a select few then it'll go the way of the Dodo, or this listserv. Nature lovers need all the help we can get conserving natural spaces. If that means a huge festival celebrating wildlife, and having trails be very busy, then so be it.
None of us were born a birder. We got drug into somehow. When we sit and pick at our fellow birders, for enjoying the exact same thing we enjoy, it looks bad.
