With only a bit of time at lunch today, I walked around Minerva Park, a NE Columbus suburb that represents an 'island' of mature trees, mostly oaks remaining from the area's days as an amusement park.  Not surprisingly, the area had plenty of singing migrants, and in a half hour I was able to dig up:

Cooper's Hawk - 1, likely a resident, since they've nested here for many years
Red-shouldered Hawk - a calling bird.  This species has expanded into many Columbus neighborhoods in the past 2 years.
Gr.Crested Flycatchers - 2, foraging in leafing-out oaks
Wood Thrush - 1-2, which is surprising here given the lack of mature forest with undergrowth
Pine Siskins - 3-4, in the alders around Minerva Lake, a spot that often hosts them in winter
Warblers - 7 species, including Yellow, Nashville (4), Tennessee (2), Bl-thr.Green (6), Chesnut-sided (2), Yellow-rumped (12), and Black&White (2)
Other migrants - Rose-br.Grosbeak, Baltimore Oriole, White-thr.Sparrows (5)
