After this despairingly-long and shockingly-long, lingering cold front that's been blocking immense numbers of birds and piling them up to the south of us, liberty is nigh. Tonight's calm winds will bring another small movement of incoming migrants. Winds then switch to SW on Saturday night, so Sunday looks to be good. SW winds continue Sunday through Sunday night, so Monday looks to be excellent, and Tuesday looks good. With the current forecast, folks that can get out Sunday, Monday and Tuesday mornings should witness, finally, long-awaited diversity and numbers of the much-anticipated first wave.
