​We stayed closer to home for an outing today and along the way found 3 new
birds for our Ohio 2015 list:
Black Vulture -- Mohican SP--Covered Bridge
Cerulean Warbler -- Mohican SP--Covered Bridge
Eurasian Collared-Dove -- Perrysville Union Cemetery
This is the first time we have seen Eurasian Collared-Doves in Ohio!

The day got off to an interesting start as our male Ruby-throated
Hummingbird was guarding the bird spa in our back yard. A Chipping Sparrow
came in for a bath and the hummer chased the sparrow away with quite an
aerobatic display all the while flashing his red throat. We saw a female
hummingbird at the feeder yesterday. Seems that this male is claiming our
house, feeders, and bird spa as his territory.
