I have posted several sitings in eBird of a pair of Trumpeter Swans that have been frequenting the pond behind our home. Yesterday they returned after being "gone" for a little over a week. They were on the pond for about three hours before flying off. I have numerous photos, some from yesterday, and they are clearly Trumpeter Swans. My wife and I bird the local areas frequently (we are between Hoover and Alum Reservoirs) and have been attempting to find where these swans are located when not on our pond, but have not had any success. There have been no other postings in eBird. We were surprised when they first showed up in early May and even more so yesterday when they were back.
