Today at the Indian Point Metropark in Lake County I observed an adult Common Merganser with 11 young. They were flagged as eBird rare. Maybe they're nesting range is growing! The Lanes spotted another family in Conneaut Harbor earlier this week. http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S23793605
