Julie Karlson and I drove to Buck Creek State Park to look for a Blue
Grosbeak that had been reported near the large concrete spillway. We parked
near the prairie and walked up the hill on the east side of the spillway but
didn't find the grosbeak. We walked down into the area behind the spillway
and Julie spotted a Lark Sparrow. There turned out to be three of them
flying and sitting on the ground in the area. We got great looks at them and
I took a few pictures which I haven't looked at yet.
