Hi all,
I found a singing Clay-colored Sparrow at 7:25 this morning on the
Beachwood Bike Path. This is located on the median of Shaker Blvd. just
east of Richmond Rd. I have attached the exact coordinates of the sighting
for further reference. According to eBird, this is the first June record
for Cuyahoga County and just the fourth for the state. While I was only
able to stay on the bird for about 10 minutes, I will return later this
morning and attempt to refind it. I will upload pictures later today on my
fairly new birding blog, setophaga.wordpress.com. Tentative and diagnostic
pictures are also on the Birding Ohio and Ohio Rare Bird Alert Facebook
pages.
Coordinates: 41.478889, -81.496253
Good birding,
Sameer Apte
