Once again, no posting to OHIO BIRDS. Being that this is a local bird for me, 12 miles; I feel obligated to report about it. The previously reported on Bobolink Facebook Vesper Sparrow, was easily found at 2PM today, Friday, at The J.T. Huston-Brumbaugh Nature Center. Park in the main parking lot off Daniel Street, walk across the road to the north and up the gravel drive a short distance. For me, when I reached the two close together bird boxes on the right, the single Vesper was singing and visible on a corn stubble directly to the left, a short distance away where the rows begin to run to the west. The Center is located about five miles south of US62 in Alliance, off of SR183; turn left on Daniel Street to the parking lot on the right. Thanks to Adam Zorn of The Center for this great find.
