I checked out several areas along the Scioto River near Columbus this morning, starting at Scioto Audubon and working my way upriver to Marble Cliff & Griggs Dam.  Despite the overnight rain, migrants were thin, and it took much effort to find them (except for the orioles).  Birders looking to get to the Shrum Mound Quarry should be aware that the 5th Ave bridge over the Scioto is torn down for repairs, and you'll need to detour by way of Trabue and McKinley.  Notables included:

Herons - Great Blues were at normal #s, and were joined by 2 great Egrets (Scioto Aud) and 1 Green Heron (Marble Cliff)
Osprey - 1 adult was still hanging around Scioto
Vultures - the Turkey Vulture flock at Griggs has 40+ birds in it, but no Black Vultures
Gulls and Terns - startlingly scarce, with only 5 Ring-billed Gulls seen all morning
Flycatchers - Pewees still widespread, but also had Acadian (Griggs), Willow (Scioto Aud), and Phoebe
Swallows - very few other than some flocks of Barn Swallows around the Scioto Audubon fields, perhaps 35-40 birds.
Vireos - singing Warbling at several locations, along with Red-eyed at Marble Cliff & Griggs
Gnatcatchers - 2 birds were at Scioto Audubon, while another 2 were at Griggs
Warblers - hard to find, but did scrounge up Tennessees, Chesnut-sided, Blackburnians, Yellow-throated, Bay-breasted (FOS-Griggs), AmericanRedstarts, and N.Waterthrush (Marble Cliff)
Orioles - Baltimores at many locations, often singing,  Griggs had at least 3.  This may be their migration peak.
