The weather wasn't too good at Conneaut harbor this morning (light rain and a cool wind), but the birding was good.  Highlights were: 3 blue-winged teal, 4 green-winged teal, red-breasted merganser, bald eagles, 2 adult Am. golden-plovers, semipalmated plovers, spotted sandpiper, lesser yellowlegs, ruddy turnstone, the continuing adult red knot, least sandpiper, semipalmated sandpipers, short-billed dowitchers, Bonaparte's gull, Caspian tern, belted kingfisher, 20 barn swallows, and yellow warbler.  Also in Ashtabula Co., on the way home I saw an Am. kestrel in Richmond Twp. and a merlin at the Pymatuning L. causeway.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
