   Blendon Woods Metro Park is located in the northeast corner of Columbus
off of I 270 & Rte 161. Take the Little Turtle Way exit. I would like to
thank the Metro Park visitors for helping find the Birds. Below is a list
of some of the
             Birds seen today


           Thoreau Lake
                     Wood Ducks-2
                     We had a Green Herons foraging in the mudflats. We
also had a Solitary Sandpipers & 2 Killdeer foraging also.
                     E Kingbird-2
                     Great Blue Heron
                     N Rough-winged Swallow
                     Belted Kingfisher-male
                     E Phoebe-2

           Lake Trail
                     C Yellowthroat
                     Red-eyed Vireo-3
                     E Towhee
                     Indigo Bunting
                     N Flicker-male

          Overlook Trail
                     Blue-gray Gnatcatcher-2
                     Red-eyed Vireo-2

          Brookside, Overlook Trail intersection
                     Hooded Warbler-2
                     Red-eyed Vireo
                     E Wood Peewee
                     Acadian Flycatcher

         Brookside Trail
                     Red-tailed Hawk-young-vocalizing

        Nature Center
                     Carolina Wren
                     House Finch-pair
                     Ruby-throated Hummingbird-6 (2 males, 2 females, 2
young
                     Turkeys-males, females, & young (polts)


        Turkeys- At least 9 females have young. It is interesting to notice
the big difference in the age of the polts. They can be seen at the Nature
Center Bird Viewing area, East Blind at Thoreau Lake, & the large field by
the
