I stopped at several spots around this MetroPark this morning, finding a decent fallout in progress with the changing weather.  I started at Kuhlwein wetlands, then hiked around Trail of the Ancients and Cedar Ridge, with a brief vigil at the creek confluence looking for migrant raptors.  The wetlands were not very birdy, but it was a different story at Trail of the Ancients, where migrants were strung out along the western, sunny side of the loop.  At Cedar Ridge, most of the migrants were in the sunny forest edge around the picnic area, with far fewer in the deep woodlands along the creek.  Notables included:

Raptors - 1 red-shouldered was calling along Trail of Ancients, while the Confluence had 1 Sharp-shin, 2 Red-tails, 1 Osprey, and 8 Turkey Vultures in 30 minutes

Cuckoo - a Yellow-billed was foraging along Trail of the Ancients
Flycatchers - WoodPewees were widespread, while Cedar Ridge had an Olive-sided
Swallows - 4 Rough-winged were winging south over the Confluence area
Vireos - Red-eyed and Philadelphia were at both Trail of Ancients and Cedar Ridge
Wrens - House Wrens were at all stops, while a Marsh Wren was along the Multi-Use Path at Kuhlwein
Thrushes - Swainson's were at every stop; Trail of Ancients had 10, along with 2 Gray-cheeks and 2 Woods
Mimids - Catbirds were common, and Trail of Ancients had a Brown Thrasher to go with 12 Catbirds
CedarWaxwings - still quite common, with flocks of 15-20 at most stops

Warblers - lots along the forest edges at both Trail of Ancients and Cedar Ridge.  List included Parula, Nashville, Tennessee, Magnolia(4), CapeMay (5), Black-thr.Green(5), Black-thr.Blue, Yellow-rumped, Palm, AmericanRedstart(4), Blackburnian (2), Blackpolls (6), Bay-breasted (2), ComYellowthroats(12), Wilsons

OtherMigrants - Scarlet Tanagers at both forest spots, including a red male at CedarRidge.  Rose-br.Grosbeaks at Trail of Ancients and Cedar Ridge.  Indigo Buntings at Kuhlwein wetlands.

Icterids - 4 Bobolinks were at Kuhlwein wetlands, along with small flocks of Redwings and 1-2 Cowbirds
