Tonight, Thursday, after arriving home from attending The Mahoning County Fair, I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had a phone call at 7:14PM, and a text message at 9:04PM, from Ashtabula County birder Bob Krajeski. He visited "The Conneaut Sandspit" after work tonight and was rewarded with a Piping Plover, assumed to be the same plover reported from yesterday. In Bob's text message he informed me the Piping Plover was still present at 7:45PM when he departed the sandspit. Thanks to Bob for following up on the earlier posting from this afternoon. Bob Krajeski lives nearby in the town of North Kingsville. Us regular Conneaut birders refer to Bob as the Mayor.
