An email from The Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network reminded me that this weekend, 5-6 September 2015, is the 2nd annual World Shorebirds' Day.

The WHSRN page has a lot of details about how you can participate, including eBird details, FaceBook page, and other social sharing opportunities.

It's really a weekend-long event celebrating shorebirds on both ends of their ranges. The only WHSHRN site in Ohio is the "Lake Erie Marshes", but that site covers a lot of area.
