Friday morning there were 9 Sanderlings all in adult nonbreeding plumage on the concrete platform at the end of the
Cedar Point breakwall at the mouth of the Sandusky Bay. A week ago at the same site there were 5
Sanderlings 4 in striking Juvenile plumage and one adult. As this breakwall runs out into Lake Erie about a 1/4 mile
out into Lake Erie and does not have a walkway a boat is required. But for the same reason it's a haven for birds.
