Decided to checkout the reported shorebirds this morning only to find the gate to the old parking lot closed. An electrical power failure caused it to require manual operations which was not possible. 
So I walked from the visitor center. Most shorebirds had departed. But I did see a Little Blue Heron which was a nice surprise.
