I'm sitting in my classroom monitoring Saturday School and I hear some
birds in the front yard. There are probably 20 robins, a downy woodpecker,
starlings, some house sparrows, a cardinal, 2 blue jays, at least 6
squirrels, a white breasted nuthatch and what do you know a *Red-breasted
nuthatch*! I'm adding that to my Carey HS list. I will have to check that
at home for the number of species on that list, but I'm sure it is an
addition. Man I'd rather be in the woods at home!! Good birding folks.

By the way, the Carey Christmas count will be Jan. 1 if folks are
interested.
