For those who love to observe something different, as I do, this morning at
Letha House County Park (Medina County), Ken and I had flocks of Red-Winged
Blackbirds. Some were in the wetland areas, which are quite diverse, with
goldenrod, hawthorns, and much more, but probably 50 or more were in the
white pine trees, where we watched them playing crossbill, picking the
seeds out of the cones. This was new for us!

Other birds denoting the season were 3 or 4 Fox Sparrows, a White-Crowned
Sparrow, ~6 Rusty Blackbirds and a lot (perhaps 20) Eastern Bluebirds.
There were Yellow-Rumped Warblers, but we couldn't find any Orange-Crowned!
