Hi all- Strong NW winds this morning eventually lightened up in the afternoon. A small waterbird movement pushed from 8 - 10:30 am. From the incredible view from Lakewood Park (just west of Cleveland) and Perkins beach overlook at Edgewater Park (in Cleveland), highlights were 6 Surf Scoters, 2 Black Scoters, 1 White-winged Scoter, 3,400 Bonaparte's Gulls, 6 Common Terns, 1800 Red-breasted Mergansers, 8 Common Loons, 18 Horned Grebes, and a smattering of Green-winged Teal, Lesser Scaup, Ruddy Ducks, Gadwall, American Black Ducks, and a single Common Goldeneye.

Bonaparte's Gulls are staging off of Rocky River Park, Lakewood Park, Edgewater Park, Wendy Park in the harbor, East 55th, and off the NE shore of Cleveland Lakefront Nature Preserve. This influx happened virtually overnight 2 days ago. For those seeking rare gulls amongst them--- now most definitely begins the time.
