The cloudy weather appeared to usher in a fresh wave of migrants, if a few parks in Westerville (and the rest of the central Ohio postings) are any indication.  I stopped at the Alum Creek bikepath (Cherrington Park) and Inniswood MetroPark, spending about 3/4 hour in each, and had several flocks of migrants at each.  Both sites had about 2-3 thrush species and 9-10 warbler species, but fruit-eating birds (thrushes, mimids, waxwings, sparrows) were far more abundant along the creek, where invasive fruit bushes were common.  I couldn't find Screech Owls at either roost site along Alum Creek, so perhaps it's too early for them here. The birdlist included:

Woodpeckers - regulars, plus a sapsucker at Alum Creek
Flycatchers - single WoodPewees at both locations
Swallows,swifts - a flock of 20 chimney swifts was foraging over Inniswood
Vireos - single Red-eyed (Alum Creek) and Blue-headed (Inniswood)
Wrens,kinglets - Carolina & House Wrens, Ruby-cr.Kinglets at both locations
Thrushes - Gray-cheeked & Swainson's at both locations, but many more at AlumCreek.  Also had my FOS Hermit Thrush at Alum Creek
Mimids - 1 Catbirds at Inniswood contrasts with 8-10 at AlumCreek, plus a brown thrasher
CedarWaxwings - a few at Inniswood, but 120+ were at AlumCreek, with small flocks everywhere
Warblers - Redstarts most abundant at both spots, followed by Magnolia & Black-throated Greens.  Also found Nashvilles, Chesnut-sided, Black-thr.Blue, Blackpoll, Bay-breasteds, Black&Whites, Ovenbird, and Com.Yellowthroat.
Sparrows - hardly any at Inniswood (1 Song), but lots along Alum Creek, including Chipping, Lincoln's
Song, White-throated
Blackbirds - only a few Redwings & grackles at AlumCreek, while Inniswoods had a roving flock of 600 grackles
