Lots of Franklin's gulls reported in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky were
doubtless blown by yesterday's winds. There will be more wind today.
These are prairie-marsh birds and could show up well inland or along
rivers as well as the Great Lakes. This time of year they are leaving to
winter on the western coast of South America. They will not be the only
birds of the west caught up by the weather, needless to say...
