I worked to the west along the lake. Here are a few of the highlights.

At Lorain I had 5 Franklins gulls, 3 lesser black-backed gulls and a common tern. I also had a possible Pacific loon in the harbor. It was along the east breakwall. Between the distance, the high waves, and its constant diving, I was never able to get a positive ID. It eventually disappeared.

At Huron I saw the white pelican on the river south of Route 6. Near the mouth of the river I met up with Vic Fazio. We had a couple Franklins and lesser black-backed gulls as well as common and Forster's terns.

At East Harbor, water levels were low and there was a lot of exposed mud and sand. There were 11 Franklins gulls, 5 Forster's terns, a lesser yellowlegs, 2 long-billed dowitchers, 23 dunlin, and a red-necked phalarope.

Along the lakefront in Port Clinton there was a greater white-fronted goose, 3 cackling geese, and 7 Franklins gulls. A very interesting day.
