Paula and I traveled to Wendy park this AM. The Black-headed Gull was
quickly found by an Amish gentleman. It was sitting on the outer end of
the pier across from the old coast guard station. It spent much of the
time preening but did fly around several times while we were there. Soon
after, the Little Gull was found flying and feeding in with the hundreds of
Bonaparte's Gulls.

But for me, the two Wild Turkeys feeding along the road on the way in were
birds of the day. I believe this is within the city limits of Cleveland.
What were they doing there and have people been seeing them all along?
This is not a location I would send someone to look for turkeys...

Another point of interest to me and one that seems strange was the fact
that we observed over 100 Double-crested Cormorants. I have not seen a
cormorant in the western basin in a month. The last one I saw on Kelleys
Island was well before Thanksgiving.
